Fast4Swat is Campaign of Basic Human Rights |
Fast4 is a concept born out of an ideal that human beings facing Humanitarian Crisis throughout the world that "Have Not" can be helped by those that "Have"
Fast4 like Race for Life and Comic Relief and is set to become an annual event.
Fast4 is a sponsored charity event where participants will choose whatever they wish to give up for a day. It could be fasting, missing out on a favourite snack, Playstation, Cigarettes, TV, Coffee. The list is endless!
Fast4 is about bringing people together from all walks of life irrespective of race, colour or religious beliefs. We want to show the people of Swat that we care. By giving up something small we can all make such a huge difference and lessen the suffering of others.
Let us empower ourselves today and make a difference for those in need.
The Fast4Swat is at present for the refugees in Pakistan and there are plans in the near future to conceive one for Africa and other regions wherever Humanitarian Crisis' occur.
Anjum Tahirkheli, a Legal Practice Manager of Khans Solicitors in Bradford is the founder of the Fast4 concept and has been responsible for raising awareness for Humanitarian causes. A few samples are listed:
Gaza - Working in Association with Interpal Charity and The United Nations Work and Relief Agency.
Missing Persons - Working in conjunction with Amnesty International Stop the War Coalition and Cage Prisoners.
Treasurer for Manningham Mill Cricket Club where she is responsible for the mentoring of under 11 and 13 year old youths and changing the perception of the Inner City Youth (this being the location at the heart of the riots)

Raheem Shah and Fakhir Mehmood host an evening for Fast4Swat to raise awareness for the millions of displaced people of Pakistan.

United Arab Emirates - Princess Haya has called for a massive international aid effort to assist hundreds of thousands of people recently uprooted by fighting in Pakistan's north-west region.
A team of 7 members of the DHR set off to Swabi and Mardan braving the heat and difficult terrain, to assess the situation of over 2.5 million refugees.
